Alyssa is an inquisitive person who dislikes the responsibility that has been shouldered on her since her second year at Starfleet Academy. Often quiet and reserved around those she's not familiar with, she likes to focus on the task at hand (no matter how much complaining she might do).

Since she has become the 'Voice' between the Scourge and the Milky Way Galaxy, she has come to learn to read people very well. While not empathic, she can get a strong sense of what's going on by a person's body language.

History: Alyssa was born in Portland, Oregon and was raised aboard the USS Apache. While growing up, she was able to enjoy the stories that her grandfather (near-legendary Captain Ira Redgrave) told her about his experiences aboard the ships he commanded.

Combined with the stories that her parent told her, she knew almost before she had hit the age of ten that she wanted to become a Starfleet officer. When her time came to join the academy, she pushed herself extra hard, not wanting to rely on nepotism to get in. Upon her entry, she continued to push herself, eventually joining the Zeta Squadron.

When her second year came, she was enthusiastic about facing her sophomore field study. Yet that enthusiasm turned to horror when the RA conquered Earth.

Alyssa went underground in an attempt to survive. While trying to escape a Sleestan hunting party, she was abducted by the alien Garron. He informed her about the important role she was about to play in the fate of the Milky way galaxy. At first skeptical, it only took her first meeting with the enigmatic Scourge to realize how dangerous they were.

Over the following years, she attempted to first help Nathan Steele aboard the Forsaken in trying to find any information about the oncoming threat, then resigning her commission to fact-find with Garron.

Now, several years after her journey had begun, she has returned to her home galaxy to help prepare for the final stage of the Scourge's trials, to find those people chosen to defend the galaxy, and finally bring an end to a race that is nothing like the Federation has seen before.
