ANTI-GRAV BOARD

The Anti-Grav or "A-G" Board is a one-man transport that was specifically designed for the gateway. It utilises a minuture impulse engine at the back of the board for propulsion, while the Anti-Gravity emmiter on the base of the board keeps it floating.
The board's design is based on that of a 20th Century Surf-board, although the A-G board requires no waves of water or energy to "work", although combined with the Anti-grav effect, it is possible, in consistent winds, to "ride the wind".

The board is operated from either the control panel located on the board itself, or from a glove-type device that the user wears, this "Control Glove" features a control panel on the arm. The user is kept on the board by a strip of metal in the user's boots which is held fast by the magnetic standing platform on the board. Although the board can be used for recreational purposes, the board is armed with fore and aft phaser strips comparable to the power output of a Type III Phaser Rifle. These were added with the Gateway mission in mind. The board provides quick and simple transport for crew members and can be launched from shuttles (as long as in life-sustaining atmosphere), Starships (as above) and the Gateway Landrovers.
